The City of Jacksonville has approved the design for a new Public Safety Center. Quorum Architects and G2 Solutions collaborated to develop the new 28,000 square foot facility that will house the City’s Fire and Police departments with administration areas, an Emergency Operations Center (EOC) and a dispatch center under one roof - a design that should accommodate staff for years to come with room to grow.

The main entry and lobby space located between the fully-operational fire and police departments allows public access to both. This central area encompasses the EOC and dispatch departments. Quorum’s design accomplishes the City’s request to distinguish the departments with the use of color on the buildings exterior while reinforcing the City’s color scheme of red and blue. The project is being fast-tracked and expected to be completed in early 2021.
