The remarkable female staff at Quorum are ample reason to celebrate Women in History Month. The women of Quorum come from diverse and varied backgrounds, each with a unique story of the path that led them to the architecture and interior design firm. What they have in common is a desire to help people and communities and the attraction of working in a creative environment.
Geographically, some didn’t venture too far from home to arrive at the Fort Worth firm, while others journeyed from as far away as Puerto Rico and even Kosovo. Some knew from high school what they wanted to do, and a couple even began working in their field while in their teens. A few started out in a related field of study but switched gears when they discovered they liked architecture better.
Others took more winding paths from careers in graphic design or education to their current roles. Several worked for different types of businesses before finding a home here at Quorum, including healthcare, non-profits, advertising, and retail. Some completed summer internships with the company before landing a full-time position.
In addition to undergraduate and graduate degrees in architecture and interior design, these women have earned degrees in art, biology, business management, accounting, and broadcasting.
Many are passionate volunteers supporting an array of causes from civil rights, victim advocacy, animal welfare, mentoring programs, hunger and homeless prevention programs, as well as civic and industry organizations.
All have had life experiences that inform their work through valuable lessons about people and navigating this world. From running their own businesses to joining the team upon graduating from college, they come together to create and collaborate, share their knowledge, guide others, and grow.
This month we take time to honor and celebrate the women of Quorum – their unique differences and their similarities, their talents and accomplishments. We thank each one for helping to create a place where we all enjoy working together toward a common goal of improving environments and the lives of others through design.
