Baytown Animal Services & Adoption Shelter

Nestled in a park-like setting along Goose Creek, Baytown’s new Animal Services & Adoption Shelter building doubled the square footage of their former building and dramatically lowered the stress levels of the staff, visitors, and resident animals.

It was important that the new facility be inviting and offer a healthy, easy-to-maintain environment. The design includes multiple get-to-know rooms and shaded play yards where people can interact with adoptable animals. Natural light, indoor-outdoor kennels, sound mitigating panels, and durable materials were incorporated. There’s also an in-house spay/neuter clinic for adoptable animals and a large education/training room for hosting adoption counseling, training, obedience classes and birthday parties. The site is large enough to accommodate future growth and play yard expansions for years to come.
