Gene Carey Animal Shelter & Adoption Center
Lewisville, TX
Lewisville staff had a clear vision for their facility when they hired us to design this new 14,000 square foot animal shelter and adoption center. Quorum listened intently when the staff said they wanted this to be more than just an animal shelter. They wanted this space to be an inviting destination for families and volunteers to spend time with the animals.
To accomplish the clients’ objectives, Quorum designed an open, welcoming entry plaza that leads visitors into a large multi-use lobby of the center with a spacious meeting/training room and multiple get-to-know indoor play rooms and courtyards. To create a safe and healthy environment for two- and four-legged visitors, the design incorporates independent areas, entrances and exits for the separation of healthy vs sick or potentially aggressive animals. This state-of-the-art facility is in a high-traffic area adjacent to recreational sport fields and a lake with walking trails.
“We are very pleased and proud of this project. David Duman and his team
did an excellent job in planning, designing, and consulting throughout
construction on our great facility.”
