For the remodel of the former dark and outdated Community Recreation Center, the City of Farmers Branch envisioned a modern, sleek facility that would provide an upscale private health club experience and appeal to young families. Quorum delivered. With special attention to space planning, finishes, and fixtures, the design team created a clean, fresh space that the whole community can be proud to call their own. Warm woods, cool grays and soft neutrals evoke a calm sophistication while imaginative graphics and artistic lighting add excitement.

The fitness area is anchored by the double height, warm ash wood wall that balances the cool gray flooring and rows of black exercise equipment. The suspended running track that overlooks the workout area was resurfaced with new colors and graphics.

The lobby, corridors and restrooms were upgraded with new colors and textures using large format porcelain tile and wood accents, providing continuity throughout. Three large community rooms have durable flooring in a herringbone pattern and custom cabinetry, elevating the spaces used for classes, meetings, or social events.

The reimagined Kids Zone includes a new custom play structure and colorful wall graphics that encourage imaginative play and age-appropriate physical activity.

The domestic ash wood used throughout the interior is from sustainably harvested forests and is consistent with Quorum’s commitment to sustainability and environmentally-friendly design practices.
