Lancaster Fleet Maintenance Facility

This new facility, designed by Quorum, allows the City of Lancaster Fleet Maintenance Department to provide preventative maintenance and repairs to the city’s more than 275 vehicles and equipment. The city needed a facility that was designed to maximize safety and efficiency while maintaining flexibility for future changes and growth.

Quorum delivered such a facility. The design provides workspace in the apparatus bays for vehicles maintenance with room to safely maneuver around and between the vehicles. In response to the city’s request to create a connection to the adjacent historic overlay area, Quorum incorporated detailed brickwork with shadow lines, pilasters, canopies, masonry arches and small pane windows in the administration portion of the building.
