Mary Lou Reddick Library
Lake Worth, TX
Having designed the building years before, Quorum was asked to renovate the interior of the Mary Lou Reddick Library when the City of Lake Worth desired an updated look and space plan for the interior.
The new design reflects the library’s functions and programs with bright study rooms, a free-standing conference room, and a creative maker’s space and plenty of “huddle” spaces where visitors can work individually or in small groups. An inspiring and welcoming children’s area serves as an enticing backdrop for all the children’s programming that the library provides for families.
The 5,657 square foot serenely colorful space is well lit with plenty of natural daylighting and sculptural artistic ring light fixtures. The new interior supports a wide variety of activities that includes book clubs, author visits, Lego play, story and craft time, as well as therapy dog reading sessions for the youngsters. Word has it, the community and the staff are thrilled with their new library.
